Communication skills for Yoga Teachers Here's an oxymoron for you: some of the best yoga teachers great listeners. This is a general guideline for Yoga students aspiring to one day teach. Ability to listen, Yoga, start when your first class, as we lea by listening, watching and doing. The yoga students who lea primarily through listening will be able to verbally communicate the subtle techniques of others in the future. This does not mean that other methods of leaing has less value, but a qualified yoga teacher, a communicator and be able to every student in mind. Therefore, not all yoga students can lea from you in the same way. Some people lea to listen carefully to instructions, while others receive more support from, and some will be able to copy only observe. As a teacher of yoga, it's still a good listener when it comes to all your questions to students. Most teachers of yoga a good job in dealing with students' questions. Well, here is something to think about: You are trying to clarify why a question? Consider that students may not be clear in his communication skills and must "move to the heart of the matter." The motivation is an issue more important than the question itself. They do not want to spend time with independent information before, after or during a yoga class. So, to clarify what is being asked, and lea why your Yoga students really ask that question. This will avoid both of you and your students time, as well. If a student asks a simple question with a "Yes" or "no" answer, you can still find the source of motivational programs say: "Yes, but why you ask?" This is a technology that is really simple, and you can issue is much deeper than originally perceived. Another mistake some yoga teacher, is to change a defensive issue. Your students will think enough to ask for your opinion and is interested in your reply. If he or she had no respect for you, your opinion is not important. Now that you know whether or not the opposition, should be used for clarification before answering. There is a bright side to all the questions to ask your students to yoga, but we must see clearly the reason behind the issue for the best answer. The essence is: Even if you are on the front of the yoga class, your ability to listen is better than your best listeners in your class. ? Copyright 2005 - Paul Jerard / Aura Publications
